How to download data from the Fluke-1735 to PC.

There are two different versions of the Fluke-1735’s one with an RS232 port and one with a mini USB.

 1.First the RS232 type.

With this version if you don't have a 9 pin serial port on your computer you will need a USB to Serial converter. In the example below we will be using the Aten USB to Serial converter model UC-232A.The serial cable that came with the Fluke-1735 part number 2625531, one end of the RS232 cable connects to the back of the Fluke-1735 and the other end connects to the Aten cable. The USB end of the Aten adapter connects to the USB port on the computer. The Aten comes with a disk that has a driver on it and you will need to install the driver when the cable is plugged into the computer.

If you don't have the disk that came with the Aten adapter you can go to Aten website to download it type in the model number UC232A here is Aten website to get the USB driver https://www.aten.com/global/en/supportcenter/downloads/

If you are not using the Aten UC232 serial to USB adapter you will have to get the USB driver from the serial to USB adapter you have.

If the firmware level inside the Fluke-1735 is at level 1.09 or older you will install Power Log software version 4.0.2 if the firmware is 1.10 you will install Power Log Classic version 4.6. Here is the location for both versions of the software https://www.fluke.com/en-us/support/software-downloads/fluke-1735-three-phase-power-logger-software-and-firmware

Once Powerlog is installed, make sure the Fluke-1735 is turn on and the communication cables are connected to the back of the Fluke-1735 and the computer. The Fluke-1735 can not be in the middle of recording or it will not communicate to the computer. So be sure to stop the recording before trying to upload data.
Then click the drop down arrow located in the top left corner of Power Log software window to select a com port. Below is an example of the drop down choice in Power Log program.

If you are using a 9 pin serial port version without the USB adapter it will be Com 1. If you are using the USB adapter the driver for that item will assign it to a Com port number greater than number 1. Go to the device manager to verify what the driver assignment given and look in the Ports directory. After selecting the com you will want to click on the icon to the right of the drop down “download recorded data”.
You should then see the download window and your data should appear. Be sure to save the data by selecting file and save as.
Screen could have different tabs depending on what function you recorded.

2. Second is the USB version
The only difference with this version is when you select the drop down to select a com port, instead of a com there will be a Fluke-1735 listed in your drop down.

You will also need to make sure and install the Fluke 1735 345 USB driver and the driver is located on the Fluke website https://www.fluke.com/en-us/support/software-downloads/fluke-1735-three-phase-power-logger-software-and-firmware
