The purpose of this article is to explain why you can or can not replace the current clamp assembly for the Fluke-771, Fluke-772 or Fluke-773.

The current clamp assembly (Jaw Assembly) is available for a Certified Fluke Service Centers because when you replace the current clamp assembly (Jaw Assembly) it needs to be matched to the meter and Certified using the correct calibration equipment and the correct calibration procedure.

If you remove the defective current clamp assembly (Jaw Assembly) and replace it with a new current clamp assembly (Jaw Assembly) the meter will not work correctly unless you perform a Certification using the calibration procedure and use the correct calibration equipment.

The Current Clamp Assembly (Jaw Assembly) part number for the Fluke-771 is 2722971.

The Current Clamp Assembly (Jaw Assembly) part number for the Fluke-772 and Fluke-773 is 3350957.

The two Current Clamp Assemblies (Jaw Assemblies) look the same but make sure and order the correct one or they will not work properly.
