Title: How do I reset my 1502A or 1504?

Applies To: 1502A and 1504
Problem Description: My parameters (baud rate, filter, etc.) are set to a high value and cannot be changed.
Resolution/Work Around: The 1502A or the 1504 will need to be manually reset. Before the unit is reset, make sure you have the last calibration report or write down the calibration constants. The reset will clear the memory and set the unit back to factory defaults.
To do the manual reset you will need to perform the following:
Press the MENU/ENTER button
Unit will display “SEt?”
Press and hold the ?/EXIT button for 2 seconds
Unit will display “PA= 0000”
Use the arrow buttons to enter 2051
Press the MENU/ENTER button
Unit will display “LOCKOUT”
Unit will display “LO= CAL”
Press the MENU/ENTER button
Unit will display “CAL0”
Unit will display the zero ohm calibration offset. (You can write number this down)
Press the MENU/ENTER button
Unit will display “CAL 100”
Unit will display the 100 ohm calibration offset. (You can write number this down)
Press the MENU/ENTER button
Unit will display “CAL 400”
Unit will display the 400 ohm calibration offset. (You can write number this down)
Press the MENU/ENTER button
Unit will display “rESEt?”
Press and hold the MENU/ENTER button and the ?/EXIT button at the same time for 3 seconds
Unit will flash rESEt about 6 times
Unit will display “OFF-On”
Cycle the power off and then on
Unit will display “—init--”
Unit will display the model number
Now the unit has been reset, you will need to re-enter the CAL 0, CAL 100, and CAL 400 and any other values like the probe constants or baud rate.
