How to download data from a Fluke-434-II, Fluke-435-II, Fluke-437-II or Fluke-438-II via USB cable.

We have two methods to download data this article will review using the USB cable to a PC. The other method is to remove the SD card from the instrument, if you are interested in that article the name of it is Download data from a Fluke-434-II, Fluke-435-II, Fluke-437-II or Fluke-438-II via removing internal SD card.

You need to turn on the Fluke instrument and then plug the USB cable into the meter and the other end into the PC. Ideally the USB driver for the Fluke Instrument will install automatically if not review another article called How to manually install USB driver for 434-II, Fluke-435-II, Fluke-437-II, Fluke-438-II.

If the USB driver installed automatically when you open the Power Log software you can click on the drop down box in the top left corner of the program and it should show FLUKE 430-II (COM #) See below example below.

The next step is to click on the blue down arrow button to the right of the COM port listed.

The software will show all the files that are on the SD card inside the Fluke instrument. See below example when you highlight a Selected measurement file to download notice the Preview information. The preview shows the details of how the meter was Configured, Application mode, Interval, Events, Duration and Start and End time of recording. The Selected preview parameters shows the list of parameters measured and I circled the No. event section, Download events and Detailed events. If you want to download the event information the boxes need to be checked. Click on the Download button at the bottom right to download the data.

After the data is downloaded to Power Log it will open a window showing the Voltage and Current graphs as a default view and you will have other tabs at the top of the program to scroll through the different measurements you recorded. Below is an example of the default screen of Voltage and Current.
