The purpose of this article is to give step by step instructions on how to Export data to Excel when using the Fluke Energy Analyze Plus software.

Step 1 is to open a file in the program.

Here is an example of the program showing a file in the Project Manager section.

I put a red circle around the Project Manager tab, I also put a red circle around the Export tab down to the right.

You click on the Export tab to start the process of exporting data.

The Export window opens showing the Trend Data items and you put a check in the box of the data you want to Export. The window includes two other tabs, Demand data and PQ data and you need to click on them to manage what gets exported.

You need to manage the Series choices and the Separator choices. The Series choices are related to the half cycle measurements the instruments gathers when Logging, as an example if you set the Logger parameters to calculate an Average reading every minute the meter will gather half cycle measurements over that period and keep the highest half cycle reading, lowest half cycle reading and the overall average of all the half cycle readings every minute.

The Separator is how the data points are separated and the most common choice for Excel applications is to use comma.

The next step is to click on the Export button in the bottom right corner of the screen. The program will open another window allowing you to save the Export data to a location on your PC.

In my example below I’m saving the file to my Desktop. The File name is filled in automatically based on the file name given earlier but you can change it if you want.

Once the name has been decided select the Save button bottom right hand corner of screen.

Next step is to open a blank Excel spreadsheet and then click File and choose Open.
