Here are the steps to change the communication interface from the default RS-232 setting to IEEE/GPIB with or without an address change:
Power on the unit. Connect your IEEE connector to the correct rear port.
1 - Press the Shift button. The display should now show Shift Enabled.
2 - Press the Display button (4).
3 - Press the Enter button until Remote Interface RS232 is displayed.
4 - Press the down arrow to change to GPIB.
5 - Press the Enter button to go to GPIB Address.
6 - Use the up and down arrows to change the address.
7 - Push Enter to get back to the main display and save changes.
You should be able to do an instrument scan now and "see" the GPIB instrument in NI MAX.
