Turn on the PTI120 and plugged the USB cable into it and your laptop, the operating system Windows 10 will recognized the PTI120 and defined it as a MTP device and it shows up in your Explorer window as a external drive named PTi120 see picture below.
MTP devices have worked with Windows for a long time and if you are having issue with it not showing up in the Explorer window more than likely the issue is related to a Security, Firewall, Virus Protection setting preventing the MTP device to work or Windows 10 update.
