The Fluke 154 FlukeHART App on the tablet uses a Bluetooth connection to the 154 modem. This connection can be challenging at times.

Here are some tips to clear the FlukeHART App for a new modem discovery or if you have issues getting the FlukeHART App to see the existing modem or connecting to a HART instrument:

  • Power off the Modem.
  • On the tablet, Start the Fluke HART App.
  • Tap on Menu. Tap on settings. Tap Reset to clear default Modem. Verify Polling Address is set to Polling Address Zero.
  • Tap on Save Settings. Exit FlukeHART App. Close down App completely.
  • Tap on Tablet Settings. Tap on Bluetooth. Tap on HART Modem settings. Tap on unpair Modem.
  • Turn Bluetooth off. Power off Tablet.
  • Connect Modem to HART device. Verify loop power and 250 Ω resistor to the HART Instrument. Power up HART Modem.
  • Power on Tablet. From tablet Settings turn Bluetooth back on. Tap on Bluetooth Tap on Hart Modem. Pair with code “1234”
  • Exit Settings.
  • Tap on FlukeHart App.
  • If Modem does not pair automatically, Tap on Menu button, Tap on wireless devices.
  • Tap on HART Modem
