Pairing IRR2 with the SMFT-1000

Pair the PV Analyzer with the Irradiance Meter

For first-time use, you must pair the PV Analyzer with the Irradiance Meter:

  1. Turn on the PV Analyzer and the Irradiance Meter.
  2. Ensure the PV Analyzer and the Irradiance Meter are within the wireless range (<50 m) of each other.
  3. Turn the rotary dial to "MENU".
  4. Use the Up & Down arrows to highlight "Device Settings".
  5. Push the F1 Button to open the "Device Settings" menu.
  6. Use the Up & Down arrows to highlight "Irradiance Meter Pairing." The PV Analyzer will indicate whether the Irradiance Meter is paired or not.
  7. Push the F1 Button to open the "Irradiance Meter Pairing" menu.
  8. On the Irradiance Meter, Push the FUNCTION Button 2 times and Push the Up Button 1 time.
  9. On the PV Analyzer, while on the "Irradiance Pairing Menu," push the F1 Button to initiate the pairing process.
  10. The PV Analyzer would then show "Successfully Paired with IRR-2".
  11. On the Irradiance Meter, a Cycle Circle with an arrow icon and a Meter with a Signal should populate.

A checkmark on the screen shows on the PV Analyzer display to indicate that the PV Analyzer and Irradiance Meter are connected.

Are you still having issues?

Attempt to update the firmware on the SMFT-1000 using the TruTest Software and a PC using the included Adapter Cable IRDA Optical-to-USB.
