There are several options how you can communicate with the RSE300 or RSE600 camera:
- Web-based camera interface (Web-UI)
- SmartView software
- SmartView R&D software
Web-based camera interface (Web-UI) of the RSE300 and RSE600 cameras
For the RSE300 and RSE600, as they are the cameras for mount applications and they have no separate display, the access for camera setup and display is provided via web interface. When you know the camera IP address, you can enter this IP address in the web-browser and get access to the camera web user interface (web-UI).
If you do not know the IP address of RSE300 or RSE600 cameras, you should use SmartView for initial connection. It will provide base diagnostics of the connectivity, will find the IP address of the camera and will open your browser with the correct IP address of the camera.
The web-UI of the RSE300&RSE600 is accessible both via wired and wireless network.
The web-UI of the RSE300&RSE600 provides possibility to change camera focus, select camera subrange, update camera firmware, download the calibration certificate from the camera memory, setup parameters for the camera Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection.
You should use the web-UI in case, if you need to:
- activate Wi-Fi connectivity of the RSE camera;
- set Wi-Fi connection parameters on the camera;
- assign specific fixed IP address to the camera or set camera back to automatic IP address provided by your network DHCP server;
- define and fix the camera measurement subrange;
- update the camera firmware;
- download calibration certificate from the camera memory.
RSE camera web-UI also provides the possibility to see the image stream from the camera, see the temperature values provided by the camera (only in cursor position) and adjust focus of the camera for base quick diagnostics of the camera functionality.
Point to note: Wi-Fi connection of the camera is used only to access the camera Web-UI for diagnostics purposes.
SmartView software
SmartView is the basic free Fluke thermal imaging software.
For the RSE cameras SmartView provides detection of the camera, basic connection diagnostics, connection to the camera web-UI, and basic live data streaming functionality.
To connect to the web-UI of the camera from the SmartView, select Remote Display option from the camera connection menu.
To connect to the camera for live data streaming and analysis, select Remote Display&Analysis option from the camera connection menu. This will open live data streaming window, allowing basic data stream recording, image capture and trending over time for defined markers.
The live data recorded with the SmartView can be also analyzed and exported using the SmartView software
SmartView R&D software
SmartView R&D software is the most advanced software for high speed recording and analysis of live data from RSE cameras and some other Fluke cameras.
SmartVIew R&D should be the primary choice when using RSE300 or RSE600 cameras.
SmartView R&D supports data from almost all other Fluke cameras, so it can be used for advanced analysis of the data created with other cameras as well.
In particular, SmartView R&D software also provides support for live data streaming from the Ti480Pro and TiX580 cameras.
SmartView R&D is paid software. It is delivered in a bundle with the RSE300 and RSE600 thermal cameras. For all other Fluke thermal camera types the software should be purchased separately via Fluke web-site.
The RSE300 and RSE600 are both delivered with a card with the unique registration code, which allows to receive the permanent license for using of the SmartView R&D software after registration of the camera at Fluke web-site and entering the registration code provided with the camera.
The license received for the software permanent use, allows to use the software on one PC at a time, but also allows to deactivate the license on one PC and activate it on another PC up to 6 times per month period.
If there is a need to test the software before purchase of the camera, a demo license can be obtained from Fluke Sales team. The demo license allows using of the SmartView R&D software on multiple PCs, but the duration of the license is 30 days. A new license can be obtained from Fluke Sales team after expiration of the previous license if the trial period needs to be extended.

SmartView R&D allows to detect camera, establish connection to the camera, and provides advanced conditional recording capabilities, including recording on temperature alarm and periodic recording of both sequence of thermal images or radiometric thermal video.
It provides multiple options for temperature trending over time, and advanced options for thermal imaging data analysis and postprocessing.
